It’s really no secret that baby #2 is going to be here in a few short months and while we haven’t shared this part of our life with all aspects of social media, it hasn’t been purposeful.
We are so excited. This is very welcomed. We are ecstatic AND speaking as the person carrying the baby, we are ready for him to be here!
I finally feel like I am at a place where I can process this pregnancy to the blog part of my life! The first 20 weeks were really rough on me. I was very sick while pregnant with Beck and this time was no different. Worse, in my opinion. I immediately requested medication, knowing that the standard first trimester sickness seemed to extend a lot longer in my experience. I ended up having to increase dosage several times before I could function. The medication (coupled with chasing a busy 1.5 year old) completely did me in. I was beyond exhausted and at many points of the day STILL battling nausea despite the drugs.

Luckily, my sickness timeline ended up being very similar and around 20 weeks I was able to wean off my medication and found my appetite to be very aggressive (minus the nausea)! I am now 27 weeks and despite standard pregnancy aches, pains and tiredness, we are doing great!
The long and excessive Winter definitely messed with me and being cooped up, sick and unable to get out a lot was rough. But Spring is here and the sun and more mild temps have already done wonders for our family.

It has admittedly been hard for me to get excited about the sweet baby I am carrying. I couldn’t see past daily survival and all I hoped was that the baby was healthy and we could make it to a point where I could be better. I am so thankful we are finally here. Beck has no idea what is going on (or if he does he’s totally playing it cool) and we can’t wait to welcome another little boy to the gang.
As far as pregnancy goes, this one has been fairly uneventful as well. I am due in June and just praying I can make it full term this go round! This little guy is active and I get to feel him kicking and rolling nearly all day long. He is especially partial to my healthy ice cream habit and kicks extra hard after a malt.
SO… while I didn’t have the energy or desire to get cute photos taken, post a pregnancy announcement and share how excited we are with the world this time, I wanted to update the blog to say we are over the moon. I know we will have a huge transition period with Beck but I am ready and can’t wait to be a family of 4.

On that note, Beck is a bright little light in our lives and cracks us up/amazes us daily. He just turned the big TWO and I’m including darling photos of him in this post because, truth be told, I couldn’t be less interested in bump photos. Here’s to the next 3 months!
